Michelle “Bombshell” McGee Says Her Racist Ink Is A “Huge” Mistake

The infamous Michelle “Bombshell” McGee, the tattooed mistress of Sandra Bullock’s husband Jesse James, is now saying that she regrets her Nazi ink.  In an article at PopEater.com, Michelle denies being racist despite her swastika and WP (standing for White Power) body art.  She says it was something she did in her youth and she “deeply, deeply” regrets it.  After news of the affair broke, photos surfaced of both Jesse and Michelle wearing Nazi Regalia.  Michelle explains that her photo was only a costume for a role and also something that she “deeply, deeply” regrets.  Now, this makes me wonder if sleeping with a married man and revealing the affair that led to the break-up of a marriage is also something that she “deeply, deeply” regrets .  Hmmm, I can only wonder what else she’s keeping in her deep, deep conscience.  Check out the entire article here

Couple Inks Their 6 Kids

Couple Charged With Child Cruelty For Inking Their Kids

What’s wrong with people?  I just read this story on NyDailyNews.com about a Georgia couple that tattooed six of their children, ages 10 to 17.  What’s worse is that they used a homemade tattoo gun that was actually a “plastic pen with a needle made from a guitar string that was connected to an electric motor.”  Doesn’t sound very hygienic.  Fortunately, five of the six kids were only inked with a tiny cross on their hands, which probably wouldn’t be too difficult to remove if they decide they want to in the future.  The other kid has to live with “mom and dad” body art on his/her hand.  Sorry kid, having both embarrassing parents and an uncool tattoo must be rough.  Read the entire story here

World’s Most Tattooed Woman

Covering Up A Skin Condition Let To An Addiction To Ink

Have you heard about Julia Gnuse?  Well, if you’ve seen her, you wouldn’t forget her.  She’s the 54-year-old California woman who holds the Guinness World Record for the Most Tattooed Woman in the World.  I was instantly intrigued by her and wondered what caused her to cover 95 per cent of her body in ink.  The article I read at Msnbc.com explains that Julia’s addiction to body art started with a skin condition that she decided to cover up with ink.  Now, I’m not normally a fan of facial tattoos but I think it works on Julia because she has such a sweet smile and it actually makes her look younger.  In fact, at first glance I thought she was in her 20s and was surprised to hear she’s 54.  Hmmm, maybe facial ink is a good alternative to botox?  Check out the article here.

Canadian Olympians Get Inked

Posted by admin on February 9, 2010

Three of these Curlers got Olympic Tattoos for the 2010 Games

The Winter Olympics are set to kick off in a few days, and I can feel the excitement here in Vancouver.  Unfortunately, I’m not attending any of the events, but I can imagine the anticipation the Olympians are feeling right now.  Representing your country can be a once in a lifetime opportunity, so I wasn’t surprised to learn about two curlers from Alberta who made a pact to mark this achievement with body art.  The article from CtvOlympics.ca explains that a few years ago Cheryl Bernard and teammate Cori Bartel talked about getting tattooed should they make it to the Olympics, which became a reality in December.  Even teammate Susan O’Connor joined the women in inking the colourful Olympic rings and a small Maple Leaf on the inside of their forearms.  I certainly hope these tattoos bring the ladies some luck at the games.  Gooooooo Canada!  Click here to read the entire article.

Grilled Cheese Tattoo = Food Discount

Posted by admin on December 17, 2009

Mmmm grilled cheese sandwiches…but as body art?

I just read about a restaurant in Lakewood, Ohio, that is offering customers a lifetime discount of 25 per cent off, to those with a grilled cheese sandwich tattooed on their body.  The Associated Press is reporting that the Melt Bar & Grilled, which has 25 different gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches on its menu, has joined with a local tattoo shop to make it easier for their fans to get inked.  My first thought was “who would wanna do that?”  I mean, I love grilled cheese sandwiches too, but not enough to make it a permanent body art.  However, fortunately for Melt Bar & Grilled, their fans don’t think like me.  In fact, so far they’ve posted pictures of the 85 people who have already inked themselves for the discount.  That’s right, there are actually people out there willing to get inked for a 25 per cent restaurant discount.  Which leads me to my second thought…”what do they put in their food?  Check out the article here.

We Remember…Military Tattoos

Armed Forces Commemorated in Ink

With Remembrance Day just around the corner, I started to get curious about military tattoos.  I found an informative article at TattooJohnny.com that explains how Navy, Army, Marines and Air Force members differ when deciding on ink.  For those in the Navy, anchors, sailor caps, and Navy related images like periscopes are prevalent.  In the Army, images of awards, medals, and those who were prisoners of war or missing in action (POW/MIA) are popular designs.  Marines tend to be all over the place getting a wide range of body art like bulldogs, camouflage, and unit designs.  Lastly, the Air Force is the least likely group to get inked, but of those who are, Pilot’s wings, eagles, planes and jets are fashionable.  To read the article and look at the dozens of cool designs, click here.  And now a minute of silence…
