Fans Honour MJ With Body Art

Just like millions of people around the world, I too was affected by the death of Michael Jackson.  One of my earliest memories is of a conversation with my sister about how we both wanted to marry MJ when we grew up.  It’s funny how I was even talking about marriage at age 6.  Anyway, the point is that he’s been a part of my life since the beginning.  I loved his music and was excited to see his latest videos which always exceeded my expectations.  So it was no surprise when I came across an article at TampaBay.com that talks about how fans are honouring MJ with body art.  I think it’s a great idea.  Michael’s music will never go out of style and he will be loved for many generations to come.  I only wonder how people will decide which image to get permanently inked…Jackson 5 MJ, Thriller MJ, Bad MJ?  Or perhaps just a few song lyrics…Heal the World, Man in the Mirror, Gone too Soon.  Whatever the choice I’m happy that MJ will live forever in our hearts, and for some, in ink.  Check out the article here.

Al Bundy Forever In Ink

I just found an awesome site!  It’s called TvMunchies.com and it posted a whole bunch of tattoos that I love…but none of which I would actually get done on myself.  The body art featured is the “12 Funniest TV Show-Inspired Tattoos”.  How awesome is that?!  There’s ink of Al Bundy, The Golden Girls, Bob Barker, just to name a few.  I am a HUGE TV lover which is why I’m so excited to find these tattoos.  It makes me wonder which character I’d choose to ink on myself.  Hmmm, maybe Mike Seaver (he was so cute!) or Samantha Micelli (I wanted to be her) or Jem (she had the best hair).  Decisions, decisions.  But to be honest, I don’t think I would ever get body art of my tv idols…I mean, I’m not that obsessed with anyone in particular.  I’d rather pick up the show on DVD instead.  Maybe that means I’m not such a fan afterall if I’m not willing to get Alf inked on my chest.  Oops, I just gave away number 10!  Check out the entire list here.

The New President Is Already Popular With Ink Lovers

President Obama has been in office barely 5 months and already people are so confident in him that they have permanently marked him on their bodies.  I found a great blog called HumbleLibertarian.com that talks about just how popular the new American president is that some people have been compelled to tattoo him on their body.  What a tribute!  From what I know about Obama, he seems like a great guy that wants to do great things, but isn’t it too early to tell if he will?  I mean, I admire the confidence that some people have in the guy to get body art but wouldn’t a t-shirt have been enough?  At least for now.  Maybe I’m just too conservative to permanently ink my body with a brand new President’s face without waiting at least 1 year to see what he does.  However, congrats to those who have the confidence, or perhaps blind faith to tattoo a tribute to a man they have only just met.  Click here to see the entire article.
